Written by Teunis Felter

The tragic incident occurred in the Cordoba district of the country on Sunday.  The referee gave the player in question his marching orders for apparently “flooring an opponent.” The player then fetched the gun from his backpack and “ran onto the pitch as the game was continuing.” The man is said to have shot the ref three times, once in the neck, head and chest.
