Reports emerged this week that Kaine could support repealing the Hyde Amendment in a Clinton administration. Clinton, along with most other Democrats, want to repeal the long-standing budget provision because they say it restricts the rights of low-income women. Kaine, who is Catholic, says he is personally opposed to abortions but supports the legal right to one. He has earned a 100 percent rating from Planned Parenthood during his time in the Senate.
