Everybody loves close games. But does everybody love the outcome of so many games being decided by kickers? It feels out of place that players run, catch, block, and tackle for 59 minutes, just to have the one statistic that really matters, a win or a loss, decided by a guy who did none of the other things that are considered the basic tenets of football.
