Terror in America: Blasts in NY and NJ, Stabbings in MN

Written by Teunis Felter

Following stabbings in MN and a pipe bomb blast along the Jersey shore, a dumpster bomb exploded in the Chelsea section of New York City.  The blast went off in a 4-by-4-by-3-foot construction dumpster outside the Townhouse Inn of Chelsea at 131 W. 23d St. Mayor de Blasio called the explosion an “intentional act.’ Tensions rose when, three hours after the blast, a second device was found four blocks away — a pressure cooker that an early investigation found was likely also a bomb. Republican candidate responded to the attacks stating “we better get very tough, folks. We better get very, very tough. It’s a terrible thing that’s going on in our world, in our country and we are going to get tough and smart and vigilant.”  A more cautious Clinton suggested it is “wiser to wait until you have information before making conclusions.”
