Federal agents now have a search warrant they need to examine the thousands of emails found on a computer belonging to former Congressman Anthony Weiner that could be pertinent to the investigation of Hillary Clinton’s personal email server. The emails appear to come from a laptop that Weiner and Abedin sometimes shared. The investigators’ theory is that Abedin apparently used the laptop at home for some correspondence that could be related to State Department business. It is not clear whether any of the newly discovered emails were sent or received by Clinton.
