Problems With Soccer in America

America, let’s talk soccer! The sport that everyone loves to dump on continues to chug along, and one day it will be huge in America. If you think you’ve heard that before, it’s because you have—for at least the last 40 years. But the top professional league for the U.S. and Canada (Major League Soccer) has 20 teams, is averaging 21,000 fans per game, and has ESPN and FS1 as broadcast partners. Things seem to be falling into place, except our women and men’s team have recently suffered embarrassing losses in the Olympics and other international stages.
