Chris Christie, the New Jersey governor with the 15 percent approval rating, didn’t get much love Tuesday on the other side of the Upper Bay, getting roundly booed at Citi Field after catching a foul ball in the third inning of the New York Mets’ game against the St. Louis Cardinals. “Nice to see him get from the beach here to the ballpark,” quipped FOX Sports Midwest color commentator Dan McLaughlin, alluding to Christie’s controversial decision to vacation with his family for July 4 weekend on a beach closed to the public during a government shutdown.
