What I should do is just focus on the good that has happened over the years…only mention the perfect times….”Our marriage is perfect, every morning he tells me I’m beautiful with my “bed head” and we kiss and neither of us ever have morning breath because we are just so perfect and every night instead of watching TV or being distracted, we just sit and stare into each others eyes and argue over who loves each other more…..oh, did I say argue???….no, no, we NEVER argue because a perfect marriage never has arguing.” lol
I’m going to do something a little different ….I’m going to focus on our “broken” times. I know that may seem odd, but sometimes “broken” can be beautiful. Ryan and I often talk about the broken times in our marriage throughout the years and are grateful because of the way they have deepened our love and strengthened us. It makes me sad that a “perfect picture” life has been painted for marriages and as soon as that crumbles…couples give up. The truth is…..marriages go through “broken” seasons….maybe it lasts a day, maybe a month, or maybe even years. That is when you cling tight and don’t give up the fight.
The “broken” times are some of the most precious moments in our marriage…moments that we would of never known if we would of given up….moments of unconditional love that we never would of experienced…moments of forgiveness……moments of hopelessness turned to hope….moments of failure turned to triumph….and most importantly, the moment we discovered that nothing is too “broken” for God to restore.
Ryan,
Thank you for all of the times when marriage was easy…

Thank you for all of the times when marriage was easy…
