Written by Teunis Felter

More than 100 people were reported hurt — and others remained trapped — after a train slammed into a station in Hoboken, New Jersey Thursday morning as emergency workers rushed to the scene. Witnesses said the train never slowed down, crashing through barriers into the terminal’s reception area. Photos showed major structural damage to the Lackawana Station, including a crumbled wall and mangled beams. The crash unfolded around 8:30 a.m., a peak time in the morning commute for the New York City area.
